Casa do Presidente sits on the Estrada do Penedo outside Lisbon, which buys a garden and a heated private pool at a distance from the city that most Lisbon rentals cannot offer. Three bedrooms, eight guests.

The house is arranged for people who intend to spend their days out and their evenings in: an indoor fireplace, a BBQ grill, and a pool that is heated for the shoulder seasons when Lisbon is at its best.

The city is close enough for museums, Alfama, the Gulbenkian and dinner in Príncipe Real, and far enough that you sleep in quiet. Sintra is a short drive west, the Cascais coast a little further. The two-night minimum makes it one of the few houses here that works for a weekend.
