River Beach Loft occupies a granite watermill built three centuries ago in Vilar de Mouros, once a stopover for Bob Dylan. The loft holds a queen bed, a desk for quiet work, a sofa bed, a small kitchenette, a dining table and a full bathroom, all finished in stone and timber. Step outside and you are on the bank of the Coura River, with direct access to its public beach.

The Coura curves around the property, forming a clear, calm river beach with sandy banks. Vilar de Mouros itself is a quiet riverside village known for hosting Portugal's oldest music festival. Caminha, with its medieval centre, Clock Tower and ferry to Spain, is 5 km away; La Guardia, across the border, is 20 km.

Mornings begin with the sound of water over rocks and coffee at the garden table. Afternoons call for a swim off the river beach or a walk along the Coura. Evenings settle into the garden, dinner outdoors, granite walls holding the day's warmth.
