SUP Sun Experience — Lima River Descent from Ponte de Lima

This is the experience guests describe in one word: magic. Starting from the medieval town of Ponte de Lima — one of the oldest in Portugal — you will paddle the full course of the Lima River as the light changes from gold to copper to pink. The current does most of the work; you supply the presence.

The route follows the river downstream through farmland, under ancient stone bridges, past herons and kingfishers, all the way to where the Lima meets the Atlantic at Cabedelo Beach. Halfway through, your guide calls a coffee break on the riverbank — a chance to swim, stretch, and take in the silence.

No previous SUP experience is required. Your guide begins with a short briefing on the bank, and within minutes you will be standing, paddling, and grinning. Groups are kept to a maximum of 8 so the river stays quiet and the experience stays personal.

Sunset sessions are the most popular — the light on the Lima is extraordinary. Sunrise sessions offer a completely different energy: mist on the water, the town still sleeping, and the feeling that you have the entire river to yourself.
