Buganvílias House

Buganvílias House is a compact studio apartment with its own private entrance, built around one open-plan room. A double bed sits opposite a kitchenette fitted with stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, and a full bathroom with hairdryer and linens completes the space. Large windows and wooden accents keep the room bright, and a private patio holds an outdoor table and seating with a garden view.

The apartment forms part of Fountain Retreat, a rural estate in Barroselas, just a few minutes from Viana do Castelo in the Minho region. Guests share the estate's pool, tennis court and minigolf, with horseback riding and Viana's museums and town centre within easy reach.

Mornings start at the outdoor table, coffee in hand, with bougainvillea scenting the air. Afternoons might mean a swim in the shared pool or a set of tennis, before an early evening glass of wine back on the patio as the light softens over the garden.
