Dunes Beach House

Completed in 2026, Dunes Beach House sits literally within the dunes of Amorosa, in Chafé. White minimalist architecture, anthracite frames and floor-to-ceiling glass bring Atlantic light through every room. Three double bedrooms sleep up to six, two with en-suite bathrooms in large-format porcelain and walk-in showers. Living areas and kitchen open via sliding doors onto the deck and private pool, with the property's own dune rising behind, wildflowers and a timber staircase climbing to a sunset viewpoint over the ocean.

Chafé is a small coastal village between Viana do Castelo and Esposende, the horizon always ocean and the air always salt. Praia da Amorosa, steps away, is one of the most unspoiled stretches of the Minho coast, long sands and high dunes. Viana do Castelo, seven kilometres off, has a historic centre, Cabedelo beach and an early-morning fish market, while coastal trails run through dunes and pine forest toward the green rise of Serra d'Arga.

Mornings mean coffee on the deck before the walk down to Amorosa's clean, unpredictable waves. Evenings call for the timber staircase up the dune, watching the Atlantic take the light before dinner by the pool.
