Lisbon favours neighbourhoods and city activities; Cascais gives more time to the coast. Choose around the days you want to repeat.
Is Sintra a Lisbon neighbourhood?
No. It is a separate base, with hills, palaces and its own journeys.
Do I need a car?
Less so near city transport; more useful for dispersed homes and outings. Follow local access rules at monuments.
How many nights should I stay?
Three in one area; five or seven to add coast and hills without crowding everything into the same days.
Do I need to book Pena?
Palace interiors require a dated, timed ticket. Check the rules and plan the journey to the entrance too.
Is Barreiro in central Lisbon?
No. It is across the Tagus. The river crossing and journey to your home are part of the trip.
What can we do with children?
The Oceanarium, gardens and coast let you alternate visits and free time. Choose one main experience each day.
Can you arrange a transfer?
