Roses House at Fountain Retreat

Roses House pairs two double bedrooms with a shower room off one of them, a living area with a sofa bed and dining table, and a kitchenette fitted with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. A small furnished terrace opens onto the garden, and air conditioning, heating and Wi-Fi cover the practical side of things.

The house sits in Barroselas, a Minho village a short drive from Viana do Castelo and its Santa Luzia Basilica. Around it, green hills and valleys carry walking and cycling trails, and the village itself keeps a rhythm of local fairs and family-run restaurants.

Mornings suit coffee on the terrace with the garden for company; afternoons might mean a trail on foot or by bike, or a stretch by the shared outdoor pool before the evening cools. Horseback riding is available nearby for those who want it.
