About this home
Monte do Sossego means what it says: the hill of quiet. A traditional Alentejo farmhouse — whitewashed, low, honest — with four bedrooms, a heated pool, and a dark-wood rural kitchen made for slow cooking.
The plains around run reddish-gold to the horizon. There is an EV charger, a fireplace for winter stays, unlimited green space, and total privacy — the nearest neighbour is scenery.
Monsaraz, its castle and its wine are thirty kilometres away; the wild trails start at the gate. Nights here are for the barbecue and a sky with actual stars.

"The house and surrounding area are beautiful and so peaceful. The house itself is lovely, comfortable, and a great place to relax. The pool was amazing and so refreshing during the hot Alentejo days. We really loved our stay and would definitely come back."

"Excellent séjour passé avec une autre famille amis dans le Monte de Sossego a Ferreira do Alentejo. Quelle belle maison ,simple , joliment décorée au calme avec toutes les installations nécessaires. Propreté de la maison au top , l équipe de nettoyage était encore sur place a notre arrivée, et ils ont tout fait pour nous mettre a l aise . Chambres spacieuses, lit fraîchement faits , propreté irréprochable. Cuisine super équipée,avec également dans une pièce a part un lave linge et un sèche l"

"We hebben heerlijk genoten van de rust. Het is een heerlijke optrek en een fijn zwembad met zout. Verwarmde zwembad was echt heerlijk. Groot terrein waar je gewoon lekker van geniet. Schaduw voor de auto om te parkeren was echt perfect. Heerlijk was het om hier te verblijven."

"Where to start. I’ve just got home from the most magical holiday in this beautiful villa. We visited Portugal as our friends were getting married. We bought our family and made a week of it. The property was incredible! We all had bedrooms with en-suite’s. The rooms were beautiful. The place was spotless, and we had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen is so well equipped.
