A multi-generational family holiday at Portugal Active Lodge, told in the guests' own words. The adventure highlight was the Tour de Viana: seven fat bikes, a cable car ride, and mountain terrain guided by BMX champion Ronaldo Ricardo. The family swam in a secret cove, devoured ice cream and Portuguese custard tarts, and successfully built a fire that became the evening's centrepiece.
As the sun set over the Lima River and the cameras came out for the obligatory family photos, the mood was one of complete contentment. This is what family holidays are supposed to feel like — unhurried, adventurous, and full of the kind of moments that become stories told at future dinner tables.
