<p>Perogil 58 sits in the Quinta do Perogil development on the edge of Tavira, in the eastern Algarve — the quieter half of the coast, where the Ria Formosa islands sit offshore and the towns kept their shape. Four bedrooms, six bathrooms, eight guests.</p><p>The pool is heated and the terrace looks towards the ocean. There is a lift in the building, which makes the upper floors and the roof terrace usable for everyone rather than the agile. A BBQ grill covers most evenings.</p><p>Tavira is the eastern Algarve's best town — a Roman bridge, a river, tiled churches and a working fishing fleet, none of it arranged for visitors. The island beaches are reached by ferry, which keeps them empty, and Spain is forty minutes east. It is the part of the coast people move to after holidaying in the other part.</p>
