A Possanco house among the rice fields, with a heated pool and a long terrace

Villa Arroz is at Possanco, on the Rua das Palmeiras, in the flat country where the Sado rice fields meet the pine forest. The name is not decorative — this is rice-growing land, and the fields shift colour through the season in a way that becomes the view.

Six bedrooms, twelve guests, a heated private pool and a terrace built long enough for a table that seats everyone. The register is the Comporta one: low, white, unhurried.

Possanco sits between Comporta village and the Carvalhal beaches, which puts both within a short drive and neither on top of you. Storks nest on the poles across the rice fields, the light in the late afternoon is the reason photographers come here, and the seven-night minimum is the house telling you what it is for.

Villa Arroz sleeps up to 12 guests across 6 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms.
The minimum stay varies by season — the calendar shows the exact requirement for your dates. In July and August stays run Saturday to Saturday with a 7-night minimum.
