Beachfront Sintra

Beachfront Sintra sits on the Estrada do Rodízio at Colares, on the Atlantic edge of the Sintra-Cascais natural park. Eight bedrooms and sixteen guests make it the largest house on this part of the coast, and the tennis court and private pool give a group that size somewhere to go.

The ocean view runs across the front, and there is an indoor fireplace for the evenings — necessary here, where the Atlantic wind arrives most afternoons regardless of season.

This coast is a different Portugal from the Algarve: cold, powerful surf beaches at Praia Grande and Praia das Maçãs, cliffs at Cabo da Roca, and the Sintra hills with their palaces fifteen minutes inland. Lisbon is forty minutes. The seven-night minimum suits a house designed for a group taking the whole week.
