Who

Alentejo Adventures specialises in active holidays that combine sports, adventure and nature with both guest house  and charming hotel accomodation. Situated on the South West Coast of Portugal in the heart of a Natural Park the area provides fantastic coastal and rural landscapes for your enjoyment.  Our Casa de Eira accommodation offers a comfy and friendly base for your Alentejo holiday.

Mission

Taste for adventure, contact with nature! To enable you to enjoy all the activities with peace of mind Alentejo Adventures ensures that all guides are fully qualified and equipment is of top quality.

The most difficult decision will be making your choice: between land and sea, plateau or mountain, radical or social… our flexibility of level of activity is infinite! From family activity holidays and outdoor activity holidays to luxury cycling holidays and self guided walking holidays – we have something for everyone regardless of ability levels.

We at Alentejo Adventures spend time identifying the skill levels within the groups to ensure enjoyment by all. The “personal touch” is what we want you to remember your holiday by. Enjoyment without environmental destruction. Alentejo Adventures respects unconditionally the local environment and encourages local education projects.

Professionals

With a team containing multiple skills Alentejo Adventures can cover all the activities and services required by each individual customer.

Alentejo Adventures’ Team is made up from a group of highly motivated professionals used to dealing with all situations. Day by day challenges demand co-ordination and commitment to achieve the mission of making your holidays memorable. Flexible and well balanced, the team is available 24 hours a day. When booking your holiday you need to be sure that you are entrusting yourself to people who know what they are doing. As well as being professionals at their job our staff has also been chosen for their engaging personalities.

Peter Knight

Graduated in Biology and Agriculture. With a Masters in Economics. Alentejo Adventures' General Manager.

Strong Points:

running, biking, endurance racing – our Iron Man. Ideas, organisational skills.

Weak Points:

Unfortunately there are only 24 hours in one day – there is always so much left to do!

Miguel Alves

Graduated in Communications Science with a Post Grad in Marketing Management. Responsible for advertising and marketing and the smooth running of Alentejo Adventures' activities.

Strong Points:

Communication whether with our guests or with the countryside and all its Fauna and Flora.

Weak Points:

At 38 he thinks that he can’t shine in the most arduous races but apart from this he’s always up for an adventure.

Ricardo Estêvão:

Graduated in Outdoors Sports with courses in rope skills, canoeing and orienteering. Responsible for the adventure aport programmes. Ricardo has a vast wealth of practical Knowledge in guiding groups outdoors.

Strong Points:

Our Iron Man 2. Very conscientious and unlimited energy. Strong skills. He likes to do it!

Weak Points:

He loves good food, ice cream, chocolates...

Pedro Martins

Graduated in Physical Education with courses in rope skills. 20 years of experience with canoes. Responsible for the adventure sport programmes. Pedro has a vast wealth of practical knowledge in guiding groups outdoors.

Strong Points:

Our Iron Man 3. 100 meters climbing in 15 seconds. Very patient with kids (he has 2 young sons). Good sense of humour, he sings, he dances...!

Weak Points:

He can’t stand still for more then 10 minutes

Lúcia Cortes

I.T. expert responsible for the operational logistics and administration of Alentejo Adventures.

Strong Points:

Extremely flexible – can answer 4 phones at the same time. A smile is worth 1,000 words.

Weak Points:

Prefers the Jeep to a bicycle.

Sónia Custódio

The responsable for Casa da Eira, a real expert in what concercern welcoming our guests.

Strong Points:

A constant smile and hapinnes around. Full dedicated.

Weak Points:

When we ask she said: none!

All the activities / programmes / proposed services are covered by a personal activity insurance policy and civil responsability in accordance with the portuguese law in force.
